Different regulatory requirements across jurisdictions create fragmentation in digital identity verification, making it difficult to establish truly global identity standards. Organizations must navigate an evolving legal landscape while ensuring compliance with data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Looking ahead, the future of digital identity solutions will be defined by a balance between security, privacy, and user convenience.
