Sequoia Holdings LLC partnered with CERIAS to focus on new technologies to create and implement software for secure government applications.
FREMONT, CA: Sequoia Holdings LLC has announced a joint venture with the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS), which is an academic institute situated at Purdue University. Sequoia will share expertise and cooperate on cybersecurity research at CERIAS as a Tier I partner,
According to T. Richard Stroupe, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Sequoia, "It's an honor to partner with a world-class institution like Purdue to provide our employees, public-sector customers, and community partners with advanced research initiatives in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning."
Stephen Mouring, the Sequoia's Chief Technology Officer, said, "we're excited to collaborate with CERIAS's team of outstanding researchers. I look forward to seeing what new opportunities this partnership enables."
Furthermore, the Sequoia team and Purdue faculty, united with CERIAS, will request grants from the Small Business Technology Transfer and Small Business Innovation Research programs to support cyber, cloud, and data analytics research focusing on the Department of Defense. The research projects will also use and build upon Combine. Sequoia constructed a cloud orchestration platform for mimicking the intelligence community's secure infrastructure to permit the developers to create and implement software for secure government applications.
The CERIAS research requires more than 100 Purdue faculty across 18 university departments. Moreover, the other CERIAS partners consist of the National Security Agency, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Intel, and Salesforce.
