Leveraging the new 2U form factor, Infortrend provides customers with a cost-effective, high-capacity, all-flash, and easy-to-manage storage system that will transform their data storage capabilities while saving them money.
FREMONT, CA: "The launch of the EonStor GS U.2 NVMe all-flash 4U 48-bay storage system is a significant milestone. By breaking through the 2U form factor, our new storage provides customers with a cost-effective, high-capacity, all-flash, and easy-to-manage solution that will transform their data storage capabilities while saving operating costs," says Frank Lee, Senior Director of Product Planning at Infortrend Technology.
Infortrend Technology, a leading provider of enterprise storage solutions, has introduced its latest expansion to the EonStor GS U.2 NVMe all-flash storage systems. The new models, available in a 4U 48-bay configuration, offer increased storage capacity for businesses looking to consolidate their storage infrastructure and simplify management. They are particularly well-suited for data-intensive applications like VMware and VDI.

While most NVMe all-flash storage systems in the market are designed in a 2U form factor, Infortrend has taken a step further with their 4U48 solutions. These systems support PCIe Gen4 U.2 NVMe SSDs, providing an impressive storage capacity of up to 700TB in a single appliance. Equipped with dual controllers and a 100GbE host interface, they deliver exceptional performance with up to 1.1 million IOPS, 24GB/s of read throughput, and 12GB/s of write throughput.
One key advantage of the 4U48 solutions is hardware minimization, as a single 4U48 system can replace two 2U systems. This results in reduced cable clutter, fewer switches and peripherals, and lower power consumption, leading to significant cost savings in operation. Moreover, managing fewer storage systems with the 4U48 configuration enhances storage maintenance efficiency for administrators.
These new solutions, available in two models - the GS 4048U and GS 3048UT - offer support for 48 U.2 NVMe SSDs in a single appliance, along with the 100GbE host interface. This makes them highly suitable for workloads demanding high IOPS and low latency.
