HID Global’s yet another Lumidigm multispectral imaging solutions has earned a perfect score in the only ISO standard in the world.

FREMONT, CA: HID Global, a provider of trusted identity solutions, has announced that another Lumidigm multispectral imaging solutions has scored a perfect score in the world’s solitary ISO standard which is an analysis for anti-spoofing and liveness detection.

The patented Lumidigm Multispectral Imaging Solutions were announced by HID Global last year. It was the first ever fingerprint technology with a ISO/IEC 30107-3 Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) Standard.

The latest upgrade from ISO/IEC 30107-3 PAD standard to level 1 is a testament to HID Global’s Lumidigm sensors’ capability to authenticate real or living person and not a fake or any artificial entity. Thereby, eliminating fraud becomes an easy job for the HID clients.

The HID Global Lumidigm sensors are a significant part of the enterprise’s evolving biometrics portfolio, which addresses a wide range of authentication user cases, besides the vertical markets.

The flagship V-Series Lumidigm sensors are the industry-first to be compliant with the tough ISO PAD standard. They have been successfully used in large-scale banking functions, including ATM deployments and employee network access that are reliant on data encryption to safeguard sensitive information.

The Lumidigm sensors, besides delivering the NIST-compliant liveness identification, relying on its multispectral imaging technology, also enables the most dependable capture performance possible in harsh conditions. The reference is towards harsh conditions such as wet fingers, damaged or dry fingers and real-world environmental conditions.

The sensors were successful in identifying all spoof attempts, besides accurately authenticating legitimate users with respect to tests administered by iBeta Quality Assurance. Also, these tests are NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) certified.

Amidst all the achievements, HID Global’s vision for the future is clear, “With a lot of people moving to cloud, our focus for the future go-to-market will be centered on enabling the broader set of mobile solutions in the market with the expansion of IoT aspect into our identity management portfolio,” says Matin Ladstaetter, VP, Product Management, HID Global. HID Global was featured by the Enterprise Security Magazine as one of the Top 10 Multifactor Authentication Solution Providers 2018.
