ESET® has been offering industry-leading IT security software and services to businesses around the world for more than 30 years, including endpoint detection and response, encryption and authentication, and full security services packages.

FREMONT, CA: Social engineering, ransomware, and advanced persistent threats (APTs) have become more common in the last decade. Unfortunately, it is difficult to protect against attacks that have the potential to destroy an organization's data. To prevent malicious code from entering the corporate network and protect against an increasing threat landscape ESET, a global cybersecurity company has updated its business products to help businesses of all kinds avoid fraudsters wreaking havoc on their networks. The ESET PROTECT platform has been updated to help IT administrators manage security threats in their environments. In addition, ESET Inspect, popular endpoint detection, and response (EDR) solution, is now available on the cloud and renamed "ESET Inspect Cloud." Several ESET's endpoint security solutions for Windows, macOS, and Android have also seen substantial changes.

“For more than 30 years, ESET has continued to invest heavily in multiple layers of proprietary technology that prevent breaches of its customers’ endpoints and systems, by both known and never-before-seen threats. We are a force for the progress that digital technology enables. Our objective is to provide the digital security that keeps an organization’s systems working smoothly and securely,” comments Pavol Balaj, Segment Director at ESET. “No modern business, large or small, can survive without an effective response in the face of an IT breach. We believe, that by employing ESET´s strong prevention, detection and response technologies delivered in the form our expandable ESET PROTECT platform, businesses can benefit from the most densely multilayered and effective protection in the industry.”

ESET Inspect Cloud is a cloud-based tool that allows the ESET PROTECT platform to evolve into an Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution for enterprise-grade security and risk management capabilities such as advanced threat hunting, incident response, full network visibility, cloud-based threat defense, and more. ESET Inspect Cloud detects malicious code after it has been executed, whereas ESET PROTECT gives the user complete visibility into the response.

ESET PROTECT has been updated with ESET customers in mind, with the primary goal of supporting IT administrators in better managing security risks in their environments. To begin with, an auto-update mechanism ensures that all ESET Endpoint agents and solutions are always up to date, easing the pressure on IT administrators' shoulders. Second, an in-depth connection of ESET Inspect Cloud and the ESET PROTECT platform provides a smoother experience, with more optimized deployments and sleeker dashboards. Finally, ESET PROTECT will also include a dashboard for ESET LiveGuard Advanced. This advanced threat defense solution includes cloud sandboxing as one of its layers and analyses suspicious files submitted by endpoints for new or previously undiscovered threats.

ESET PROTECT will contain the new Brute-Force Attack Protection module for ESET Endpoint Security solutions for Windows, allowing administrators to defend organizations in the remote work era better. In addition, ESET's Brute-Force Attack Protection module stops repeated infiltration attempts by combining cloud reputation data with password guessing and honeypot technologies. Finally, due to increased processing needs from emerging technologies such as high-resolution screens, realistic 3D gaming, and speech recognition, ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Endpoint Antivirus will provide ARM64 builds.

In addition, ESET PROTECT Cloud now includes a new web management tool that allows IT, administrators to control employee access to websites via Android mobile devices. For example, admins can blacklist, whitelist, or warn about URLs that link to sites with harmful content using built-in categories and custom rules.

ESET has also introduced a new version of ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Mac users, built on a microservices architecture rather than the previous monolithic one. As a result, ESET Endpoint Antivirus now has a better-multithreaded design for faster scanning, is more stable because failed components can automatically restart instead of crashing the entire application, and has better security isolation because components can run with non-privileged user rights, and is Rosetta 2 compatible with Apple M1 devices.

ESET Professional Services supplement the other updates to ESET's commercial security software solutions for firms that don't have the internal skills to provide the best protection. Organizations may use ESET's team of specialists' tools and skills to analyze and solve their business's unique information security concerns. It is a development that is safeguarded. Organizations can reap the full benefits of services like ESET's Managed Detection & Response without having to build an in-house team of cybersecurity experts or maximize their security by adding a second pair of eyes to augment their existing team by using ESET's catalog of defined services, which range from implementation and customization to training and support.
