Fremont, CA: In today's market, businesses of all sizes rely on quick and dependable Internet connectivity to stay competitive. The speed of the internet has a direct impact on productivity and profitability. Bluepeak, an innovative internet provider, has been granted a franchise by the city of Rock Springs, Wyoming, to create a high-speed fiber network to satisfy the community's current and future demands. Bluepeak service will be extended to approximately 9,000 homes and businesses in Rock Springs as part of a $9 million expansion project.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the city of Rock Springs to enhance internet connectivity for the community,” states Rich Fish, CEO of Bluepeak. “Our fiber-to-the-home network is built for the future to meet the growing needs for how we all live, and were excited to show the great community of Rock Springs that we’re a different kind of internet provider.”
“Broadband in Wyoming can be a challenge, and I'm excited that Bluepeak is investing in our community,” states David Halter, Rock Springs City Council member. Halter, who is also IT Director for the Sweetwater Combined Communications Joint Powers Board, adds, “Additional competition will improve internet service overall in Sweetwater County, and it also gives our residents more options to choose from."
