The managed detection and response organization Blackpoint Cyber looks to expand its marketing efforts and adds to its formidable Board of directors.

FREMONT, CA: Blackpoint Cyber, a technology-focused cybersecurity company, today announces its Series B round of funding and appointment of John N. Stewart, the former Senior Vice President and Chief Security and Trust Officer at Cisco, as its Board of directors. The company has been continually increasing its presence in the Managed Service Provider market as around the clock Managed Detection and Response platform and launched MDR 4.0, the industry's first context managed detection and response platform.

Stewart has over thirty years of experience in the industry and has served in Australia's Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Cyber Security Review board, the Center for Strategic and International Studies Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th US Presidency, and the cybersecurity think tank at the University of Maryland University College. Presently, he is the President of Talons Ventures.
