Aqua intends to reduce client risk and expedite cloud-native transformation with Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Power deployments as the first cloud-native security provider for IBM Power Systems.

Fremont, CA: "Aqua's collaboration with IBM Power demonstrates our support for the platform and our commitment to solving the cloud-native security problem for organizations around the world, " comments Amir Jerbi, co-founder and CTO of Aqua Security. Aqua Security, a pure-play cloud-native security provider, will offer broad availability of runtime security for customers modernizing their infrastructure and applications with Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Power Systems. With Aqua's runtime technology, IBM Power users can now safeguard the whole lifetime of Red Hat OpenShift containerized workloads against cloud-native assaults.

Aqua technology can be used as a cloud security solution by IBM Power clients utilizing Red Hat OpenShift to enable cloud-native transformation. Aqua's Nautilus research team concurs that security remains a barrier to the widespread adoption of cloud-native computing. Recent research from Aqua suggests that cloud-native assaults are increasing in frequency and velocity, highlighting the necessity for a complete security solution.

Aqua leverages IBM Power's superior reliability to alleviate application lifecycle risks in hybrid cloud environments. Aqua's technology provides constant visibility for hybrid clouds by detecting, prioritizing, and addressing risk, protecting the supply chain, and mitigating threats without interrupting workloads. Aquas container and Kubernetes workload runtime protection enable organizations to use Red Hat OpenShift on Power to meet their risk management and compliance requirements at scale.

“IBM Power provides the base platform to deliver a secured hybrid cloud. To help ensure that customers can build on this platform and address the requirements for deploying securely on Kubernetes, we are working with Aqua for cloud native security,” states Dimitrios Penderakis, Distinguished Engineer and Chief Security Officer of IBM Power. “As attacks focused on containers increase and compliance needs grow, Aquas runtime security capabilities mitigate risk and can accelerate cloud transformation for customers."
