MOVEit, a widely used managed file transfer software developed by Progress Software, has been a staple in numerous IT departments across finance, healthcare, and government industries. A critical vulnerability (CVE-2023-34362) has recently emerged in MOVEit, allowing unauthorized access to the database of MOVEit Transfer and potential manipulation or deletion of its components. Hackers have exploited this vulnerability, targeting over 130 organizations and affecting millions of individuals.
To help organizations counter the risks posed by the MOVEit vulnerability, Action1 has unveiled the capabilities, which are free of charge for the first 100 endpoints. IT teams can quickly check all endpoints within their network for compromised instances of MOVEit Secure Managed File Transfer that have fallen victim to the CVE-2023-34362 vulnerability.
Once compromised servers are identified, users can utilize automated scripts to eliminate the compromised files from all affected servers and apply the necessary patches.
