“In a world where products and services are growing more commoditized, customer experience is the only true differentiator,” - Annette Franz.

It is a common belief that the cybersecurity and user experience offered by a product are mutually exclusive. But this couldn’t be further from the truth.

The two components are highly interdependent, and businesses must integrate digital security with broader customer engagement strategies to avoid fragmented customer experience and attrition. Today, organizations directly interacting with consumers–virtually or physically–must strike a balance between these two facets to offer them a seamless and trustful experience.

“Our mission is to bridge this trust gap and bring trust to the digital world,” says Ricardo Amper, Founder & CEO of Incode Technologies Inc.—an omnichannel biometric authentication and identity verification specialist.

The company is redefining how individuals authenticate and verify their identity online with its proprietary, robust ID validation technology.

A Steadfast First Line of Defense

From a security outlook, identity verification is truly the first layer of protection against threats for any business. Implementing an efficient authentication system reduces cybersecurity bottlenecks and ensures that only authorized personnel access critical information and applications.

Incode excels in this domain with its AI-based identity products that offer self-service and secure multi-biometric capabilities, enabling enterprises to provide their customers with an omnichannel identity experience. Its products are used across a myriad of industries–finance, government, hospitality, retail, and more–to reach and engage next-generation, tech-savvy consumers.

Incode brings unprecedented levels of convenience and security to the biometric domain with its customizable, optimizable, and easy-to-scale products. The United States Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recognized Incode’s proprietary technology as the world’s fastest, edge-facial recognition system.

For most businesses, a typical consumer identification experience involves tedious interactions that often fail to meet the expectations of omnichannel users. New-age consumers demand a frictionless and contactless experience at every stage of their journey. Incode’s flagship biometric suite of platforms, Incode Omni, enables businesses to design a seamless digital identity verification process for their customers.

“Our mission is to bridge this trust gap and bring trust to the digital world as it is in the physical world”

Incode Omni is an end-to-end omnichannel identity platform that facilitates seamless authentication and verification processes, increases conversion rates, and reduces identity theft.

The platform can be used for various activities and diverse customer requirements, and is based on proprietary machine learning, computer vision, digital onboarding, and anti-fraud technologies. It offers the highest level of security and user experience. Omni also utilizes the latest anti-spoofing passive-liveness technology and is the first system to achieve certification for iBeta presentation attack detection (PAD) testing.

Omni is a fully automated platform that doesn’t demand manual, human-centric assessments in remote locations and substantially bolsters the accuracy, speed, and security of ID verification systems.

Incode has heavily invested in its R&D operations to augment its platform with purpose-built and fully-integrated modules that prevent unaudited access from unknown entities. “We own the complete technology stack powering our solution and can scale our products much faster across multiple locations. What takes minutes with other solutions takes only seconds with Incode,” says Jonathan Andresen, Senior Director of Marketing, EMEA & APAC at Incode. “While catering to thousands of customers, Omni substantially reduces the timeframe and ensures seamless user experience.”

Omni has over 50 modules that businesses can tailor to their unique offerings and use cases, and deploy at scale securely on the cloud, on-premise, or even in hybrid architectures. The platform’s no-code orchestration engine allows businesses to deploy workflow experiences within seconds.

Businesses can comply with KYC/ AML and other regulations using Incode’s identity ecosystem across multiple channels, such as the web, native apps, kiosks, and ATMs. Omni’s identity verification module allows businesses to check ID documents, extract data through optical character recognition (OCR), match biometric templates, and verify information with government sources and auxiliary databases. Incode accurately captures the images of identity documents, classifies them, and performs tests to confirm authenticity.

The capture domain module automatically detects unfavorable environmental conditions, provides users with feedback for correction, and performs assisted data capture. Incode’s digital signature and non-repudiation functionality ensure that transactions and agreements can’t be declined and then used as evidence in legal scenarios. Users can give consent at the click of a checkbox and sign electronically.

A fundamental capability of any efficient security solution is to proactively identify risks. Omni identifies risks and related elements during and after customer onboarding processes. The system automatically inspects for fraudulent or risky email addresses, ID documents, locations, etc., provided by the customer and notifies its clients. Once an individual’s identity is verified and a biometric template is generated, the authentication module offers features so that users don’t require passwords or two-factor authentication.

To simplify the onboarding process of a consumer across multiple channels, Incode allows a user–whose identity is within Incode’s proprietary dataset–to authorize information sharing with other service providers. This way, users, with one click, can share their data without having to undergo another onboarding process.

The benefits for developers, on the other hand, are equally impressive. Using Incode’s software development kits and APIs, developers can create identity flows within minutes, arrange security components per requirements, and publish them. The platform stores all customer data in a single place, allowing security executives to holistically examine results from various onboarding processes.

The company also emphasizes consumer data privacy and protection, helping businesses comply with various international data protection regulations, such as FATF, AICPA SOC 2, AML, CCPA, and GDPR.

A Custodian of Customer Success

“We invest heavily in the success of our clients, work with them step-by-step as they roll out the service, and help them provide their customers with a delightful experience,” elaborates Amper.

Incode’s teams commence the implementation process by understanding their client’s vision and desired customer engagement strategies. The teams then prepare a proof-of-concept that gives insights into the capabilities of the designed product to minimize false alarms. It then implements the solutions and enables clients to strike the right balance between a good customer experience and robust security, making the process seamless, transparent, and contactless for consumers.

“We develop a partnership with our clients,” says Andresen. “And as they grow and deploy the services and products across their business, we ensure their customers are getting the right experience, aligned around their security needs.”

By virtue of its customer-centric approach, Incode has partnered with numerous industry leaders, one of which is the Jumeirah Hotel Group based in Dubai. The luxury hotel giant utilizes Incode’s ID verification solutions to provide customers with a seamless, contactless guest journey. Incode has worked with one of the largest banks in the United States to address the security around their onboarding processes, enabling them to fast-track customer journeys and promote digital banking solutions. The company has also worked with many sports authorities to implement ID verification systems at scale in stadiums and to allow spectators to verify their identity by scanning QR codes on tickets.
