Convergint and Viakoo Establish Sales Partnership
Convergint Technologies Acquires Security Solutions & Management
SCHAUMBURG, III: Convergint Technologies announces the acquisition of Pineville, N.C.-based Security Solutions & Management (SS&M) for undisclosed terms.
SS&M’s expertise in military and commercial security solutions includes physical security information management systems (PSIM) that integrate video surveillance, access control, building management, identity management and IT security.
The acquisition adds to Convergint’s expanding presence in the Carolinas, with expertise within the government, healthcare and retail security fields, according to the announcement.
“Our mission has always been to provide a safe and secure work environment for the workforce of America,” says Mike Gardner, CEO of SS&M. “Convergint shares in our commitment to service, and with the scale and scope they enable, we’re able to expand that mission worldwide to the places our clients need us.”
SS&M’s military division is headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C., where the company focuses on serving units of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), according to the company’s website. SSM’s commercial business is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. Although SS&M primarily serves the Carolinas, a network of partner companies allows it to service customers nationwide.

This latest deal marks Convergint’s second acquisition in 2019. In January, the company announced it had acquired MTS Security in Dublin, Ireland, said to be that country’s largest independently owned security systems company.
