The marketing team works up a business case, secures funding internally, and places the order to be executed by a third-party provider.The response is phenomenal, and the team is considering this a win. Six weeks in, and the numbers are still great, but the penetration rate is quite low. How can this be? If 8,000 coupons were used, the penetration rate should be 80 percent, but all of the analytics tell you the rate is 15 percent.
