In every cloud infrastructure, security controls are generally relinquished to third-party vendors; such interventions can increase risks in the cloud infrastructure.Cloud, as a feature, can be accessed anywhere and from any device. But it will not be secure if, say, the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are not secured. Hackers can gain access to loopholes and vulnerabilities via APIs and exploit their authentication.Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) reveals that misconfiguration in cloud infrastructure can lead to data breaches, data losses, phishing, and many more threats. If an organization's cloud system is not configured well, the existing business data and applications may become prone to cyber-attacks. Though cloud infrastructure is considered dispersed and accessible through all control points, it can't be assured that our data is being accessed only by authorized users. In light of that, lack of visibility over the infrastructure may worsen organizations' cloud security stance.
